Bridget is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Art Therapist, and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. Bridget Graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa in 2004, a Bachelors of Art in Art Therapy from Edgewood College in 2014, and a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College in 2017. In her private practice, Bridget specializes in therapy with teens and young women experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma. In 2020 Bridget co-founded her own nonprofit, Mountain HeArt Therapy.
Bridget, she/her, began at Art from Ashes in the summer of 2018 after a meeting with the Executive Director about a possible collaboration. Bridget was so impressed with the mission and integrity of the organization she began training as a youth facilitator, joined the Events Team, and was asked to join the team as the Volunteer Coordinator. Bridget has since collaborated on creating the Drawing on Air Curriculum with Catherine O’Neill Thorn. Bridget feels fortunate to be a part of Art from Ashes mission.
In her personal time Bridget enjoys creating art, experimenting with new art techniques, gardening, being in nature, seeing live music, dancing, laughing, cooking for/baking for/entertaining/spending time with friends and family (all things social).
