she/her

Jillian is an educator turned fundraiser who’s passionate about helping organizations secure the resources they need to deliver their work. Jillian earned a B.A. with dual majors in Psychology and Human Development at the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2013. She completed her M.A. in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver in 2017. As a licensed school counselor, Jillian joined the inaugural leadership team to open a new charter high school serving a low-resourced, historically marginalized student population. In this role, she secured a competitive state grant of $270,000 and subsequently managed the implementation of funds, as well as the management of other state and federal funding.

Jillian’s first exposure to grant work demonstrated the impact that fundraising has on the overall sustainability and effectiveness of programming, thus launching her career in fundraising. Grant writing was just the first step that unlocked a passion for combining program development, evaluation, and advocacy to engage stakeholders. Since her humble beginnings, Jillian continues to deepen and broaden her scope of practice as a fundraising and grant writing consultant to support non-profit organizations in their development strategy, storytelling, and systems management.

Jillian also enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and dog in South Denver.
