Dr. Shawn Graziani, Vice President

Dr. Shawn Graziani has been an educator for over 20 years. Originally from Pennsylvania, he began his career as a teacher in Baltimore City schools before moving to Colorado in 2013. Since then, he has served as a school and district administrator in both Denver Public Schools and Aurora Public Schools.

Currently, Dr. Graziani is the instructional director of high schools in Aurora Public Schools, overseeing seven comprehensive high schools, one technical college, and two alternative programs. He is deeply committed to ensuring all students have access to rigorous, high-quality education that prepares them for success beyond high school.

A passionate advocate for the arts, Dr. Graziani’s love for visual and performing arts began in middle school and continued through his high school and college years. In 2022, he served as the founding principal of Charles Burrell K-8 Visual and Performing Arts School, Aurora’s first school dedicated to the arts. His mission in opening the school was to ensure that all students with a passion for the arts had equitable access to high-quality arts education.

Dr. Graziani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Point Park University, a Master’s in School Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver.
