Holly is an undergraduate at Metropolitan State University of Denver and is studying human services and counseling. She began working directly with Denver’s youth through her studies in December 2021 and is eager to serve as an intern at Art from Ashes this fall because Denver’s youth need nothing more than to be seen, heard, and supported. Through her internship, Holly provides program support and also serves as the agency’s Volunteer Coordinator.
She is passionate about supporting human dignity, equity, equality, and inclusion in her hometown, Denver. She believes that non-judgmental listening, acceptance, collaboration, self-awareness, and advocacy are steps that can help us get there.
Creative expression has been an important part of her life journey and gives her an opportunity to process complicated emotions, thoughts, and decisions as well as celebrate milestones, new perspectives, and personal growth. She is inspired by sunsets, the mountains, campfires, and can often be found curled up with her cat and a good book.
