DESCRIPTION:Yoga Teacher/ Artist\, Courtney Chandler and Business Owner/ Philanthropist/ Freakshow\, Allison Parks have dreamed and schemed some play time. We will be putting on a transformative poetry yoga class in City Park on Sunday\, July 10th at 4:00 pm. \nWe will be perfectly situated to stick around for Jazz in the Park afterwards\, which beings at 6:00 pm\, so bring any blankets or snacks that you may want for that. I will bring wine in a box to share. \nAll proceeds from the yoga class will go to Art from Ashes\, a local nonprofit which brings poetry\, art\, and theater workshops to at-risk youth\, so please bring a minimum $10 donation for Art from Ashes. By all means\, you are welcome to donate more! \nAll peeps are welcome at this event\, so feel free to bring your significant other\, mother\, offspring\, or hair stylist! We will be situated to the south of the lake where they do the Jazz in the Park. A collaboration of Boulder International Film Festival\, Philanthropiece Foundation\, the Twisted Foundation\, and committed local leaders\, Call 2 Action offers concrete ways for filmgoers to take the energy and passion inspired by film and move from concern to action. Because of our agency’s connection with the Jimmy Santiago Baca film “A Place to Stand\,” Art from Ashes has been provided a platform “to raise awareness for the incredible service that [you] provide for our community by introducing the power of poetry and art to transform lives.”\n\nArt from Ashes will introduce the film at 10am on Sunday\, followed by the screening.\n\n\nPost-screening\, there will be a TalkBack (Panel discussion) in the “TalkBack Cafe” just across the street from the Boulder Theater on the Pearl Street Mall. DESCRIPTION:Join us every First Friday in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe for youth spoken word performances: \nThe first performance is at the Denver Art Society\, 734 Santa Fe Dr. at 7 pm. \nStarting in June 2015\, the All Sacred Foundation Fundraiser will be held every First Friday at Green Spaces\, 1368 26th St in Denver. Come for Tattoos & Poetry (or just poetry. whatever. :D). All proceeds from the tattoos that evening go to three organizations\, including Art from Ashes\, plus our youth poets perform! \nAll Sacred Foundation is a fundraising collective made up of different personalities\, professions\, preoccupations\, and personal pursuits. Drawn together by a core set of values and principles about the community\, our world\, and our place and purpose within it. We share and collectively embody an unrelenting passion to improve and enhance our community\, effectively making it a better place for one and all. \nCurrently All Sacred is composed primarily of tattoo artists who donate their time and expertise to fundraising for local nonprofits once a month.
