2022 COVID Relief State, Local, and Foundation Funders
COVID-19 Arts and Culture Relief Fund
The COVID-19 Arts and Culture Relief Fund is helping support Art from Ashes as we continue to serve youth virtually and through our writing kits until we can return to safe in-person workshops. Thanks to generous contributions from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, The Denver Foundation, and caring individuals, the COVID-19 Arts and Culture Relief Fund provided nearly $900,000 in financial assistance to 52 arts and culture organizations. Thank you to the people and agencies that provide much-needed service to the community through arts funding, and bless you for this gift to Art from Ashes.
2022 Program State, Local, and Foundation Funders (non-COVID related)
Caring for Denver Foundation
Art from Ashes received a three-year grant from the Caring for Denver Foundation to support our award-winning Phoenix Rising program in Denver County. Caring for Denver Foundation was established and funded with overwhelming voter support to address Denver’s mental health and substance misuse needs by growing community-informed solutions, dismantling stigma, and turning the community’s desire to help into action.
We couldn’t be happier about being part of the Caring for Denver community.
Scientific Cultural and Facilities District (SCFD) for funding from Denver County, Adams County and Arapahoe County for supporting our programs for the youth in their counties. The funding comes from 1/10 of 1% of our state tax! Thank YOU, community and to those individuals who sit on the county grant review panels!
Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program (TGYS)
Since 1994, the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Program (TGYS) has worked to reduce youth crime and violence, and child abuse and neglect in the State of Colorado. In the Summer of 2020, Art from Ashes was grateful to be awarded a 3-year grant from TGYS with the focus on youth crime and violence prevention. TGYS has partially funded the Phoenix Rising on-site workshops at Art from Ashes for several years, and we are eager to work with them again in a new grant cycle.
