Art from Ashes uses the latest research in left-brain/right-brain functioning and the role of creativity in transformation to encourage participants to access the creative subconscious and the power available through artistic expression. The introductory workshop allows adults to experience the same curriculum delivered to the youth participants and find their own power through creative expression and personal transformation.

Workshops are limited to six people.

The investment in adult workshops of $175 per 6-week series helps support our work with youth.

Come have a beer, listen to some great music, and enjoy guest poets and spoken word artists, while supporting our life-changing youth programs!

The evening will feature guest performances by musicians Rick Gibbins, Alex Buis, Sarah Jones and the band Stay Tuned.

Featured poet will be Angela Nicole plus readings by the Art from Ashes youth poets!

Support struggling youth in our community by listening to their words, enjoying the show, noshing on some great food, and if you stay until 10 pm, you’ll be there for Happy Hour 2-for-1 specials!

May First Friday

FirstFriday-postcard 2015Join us every First Friday in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe for youth spoken word performances at different venues on Santa Fe Dr. between 6.30 and 7 pm.

Much more than a public performance, youth gather at Art from Ashes at 4.30 for a FREE one-hour Phoenix Rising writing wordshop, followed at 5.30 by a FREE 45-minute performance workshop, featuring a local performance poet. All youth are welcome.

AfA facilitators and local artists/performers guide the youth through poetry writing prompts and spoken word presentations to prepare them for their community performances.

Agency Retreat

Each year, the Art from Ashes staff, board of directors, and select contractors, volunteers and advisors, gather to review the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year strategy and existing budget. Oh yea, and we also have lots of fun!

Consequently the office will be closed on Monday, April 18.

Tattoos and Poetry-All Sacred Foundation

The February Fundraiser will be held at Phoenix Multisport, 2233 Champa St in Denver.

ALL SACRED FOUNDATION is a non-profit fundraising collective based in Denver. They are a collective of tattoo artists from all over the Denver metro area that strive to benefit the community.

Join us for Tattoos and Poetry: all proceeds benefit three area nonprofits, including Art from Ashes!
