She guides listeners through a poetry prompt (the 30-second silences while the host wrote his answers were edited out). Try the three-minute prompt and discover your inner poet!
Also included is a poem by a 12-year-old boy which was written using the Art from Ashes method and shows the incredible creativity latent in us all.

SCFD Check Presentation: Denver
/in /by AfAAdminThank you to the taxpayers who support the arts and sciences through a 1/10 of a penny tax! SCFD helps fund Art from Ashes programs and the Denver County Cultural Council disperses the funds. Art from Ashes was awarded a grant for the fifth year in a row!

Since 1989, Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) has distributed funds from a 1/10 of 1% sales and use tax to cultural facilities throughout the seven-county Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. The funds support cultural facilities whose primary purpose is to enlighten and entertain the public through the production, presentation, exhibition, advancement and preservation of art, music, theatre, dance, zoology, botany, natural history and cultural history.
