Art from Ashes is partnering with Shine Music to present the Shine Music Festival—a radically accessible music event—on Sunday, August 8th at the Levitt Pavilion in Ruby Hill Park, Denver. One of our youth poets will perform to kick-off the event at 1pm, and we’ll have a table set up with art and writing prompts for the community.
Shine Music Festival is a family-friendly, accessible music experience founded by Shawn Satterfield. It’s a day filled with music, art, food, and fun for the community!

A personal message from Shawn to all of our supporters, friends and family:
“For the past two years, we have worked with various organizations, to combine comprehensive accessibility plans with assistive technologies to create a space where everyone can share in the power of live music together.
We are limiting the 14,000-capacity venue to 7,500 to accommodate years of accessibility planning.
To reserve your FREE ticket, please visit: www.shinemusicfestival.com/membertickets and use the RSVP code: ART

Giving Tuesday 2021
/in Blog, Events, News/by AfAAdminOn this global day of giving, your support for our creative youth programs would mean the world.
#GivingTuesday 2021
/in Events, Public Events/by AfAAdminPaypal & Colorado Gives are USA only
Whether you donate $5 or $500 in support of youth empowerment through creativity, our wonderful board of directors is matching the first $5,000 on GivingTuesday!
Millions of young people are silenced and dismissed in our society, and without a voice of course you would feel neglected and marginalized.
We believe in the power of poetry and art to bring about transformation! If you do, too—if you want to hear the voices of youth expressing their pain, their joy, their fears and faith, donate to AfA this #givingtuesday and give a young person back their voice!
Celebration of Light 2021
/in Celebration of Light, Events, Public Events/by AfAAdminIn honor of our tradition, there will be a candle lighting ceremony at 8pm. Bring your own jar to decorate for the candle, and we’ll provide one if you need it. We’ll have all the other materials available. The candle lighting will be broadcast on Instagram and Facebook Live, if you would rather join us from home. Please share your own lighting in honor of our combined efforts to build and sustain community, even when it’s difficult.
The event will be free to attend, but donations are certainly welcome, because it’s COLORADO GIVES DAY!
Hoping for a Brighter Black Friday
/in Blog, Creativity, News, Poems/by AfAAdminAs shopping madness begins, please also give to the young people who need us.
