Urban Peak ignites the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanpeak.org\/events\/spark-for-our-youth\">event<\/a> provided local youth with a chance to learn about employment opportunities, mental health resources, mentorship programs and other organizations that exist to help support and empower youth.<\/p>\n<p>Our awesome Director of Programs, <a href=\"https:\/\/artfromashes.org\/about\/our-team\/bio-kree\/\">Kree Thawley<\/a>, spoke to a packed house about the importance of facilitating youth empowerment and AfA\u2019s commitment to doing so, followed by a poetry performance by McKenna Prynn\u00a0, who also serves youth as a guest poet in AfA workshops. <a href=\"https:\/\/artfromashes.org\/about\/our-team\/bio-kelly-thomas\/\">Kelly Thomas<\/a>, President of our Board of Directors, joined Kree and McKenna in inviting young people to join AfA&#8217;s free drop-in workshops on Wednesday afternoons.
